Sadness filled me in again!

I am feeling very depressed, and down again. And I know why??? It's because of those news that I kept receiving recently. Why are there so many of these kinda news lately? Now I really understand the pressures KPF was facing in the past. Well! Worst still, I believe she faced them earlier than I do. KM's e-mail really brought me down; in addition to my tele-conversation with WYP yesterday afternoon. Should I go into self-isolation again? I have just came out from my cocoon, should I return there, hide, and hibernate; not wanting to know what is going on in the world out there. Like LWY and KPF once said, this is just so not like you. Yup! It's just so not like me!!!

Whilst I should be happy for these people, but I felt really pressured. How? Yet I am so afraid... I want to have it, but I am afraid of the pain, and sacrifices that come with it. How? Gosh! I guess I just have to pray, and work a little harder to achieve my goal. And off course, sacrifices too. Meanwhile, I hope TYL achieves hers too!

I think lou kung has landed @ KLIA. He should be home in an hour time. I will not be alone tonight. But I will be back to busy busy bee again. Nonetheless, I am happy that I will be seeing lou kung after his 10 days away from home.

A chat with a good old friend

I spoke to one of my close girlfriend this afternoon, and found out she was 6 months pregnant. This is her third pregnancy. Wow! I was really shocked, because I didn't expect she would be wanting a third child since she already has a girl, and a boy. Her sister-in-law also gave birth to their third daughter early this year, and her brother has 3 girls altogether. Why does it seems so easy for them to get pregnant, going through pregnancy, giving birth, as well as taking care of babies? I really admire their courage, bravery, and sacrifices.

Lately, I have been receiving news of childbirth one after another. One close girlfriend of recent years, is expecting her second daughter this October. Well! At least, that was an unexpected pregnancy since she is already contented with one daughter. I have just heard LSY has a daughter early this month. Even MCC has one girl, and a boy earlier this year. Wow!

I thought amongst us, WCY would be having the most kids i.e. 3 girls. On average, most friends have 2 kids excluding the Malay friends since the latter usually have more children.

Anyhow, I wish them all both safe delivery, and happiness.

It's tomorrow

My *homealone* days of 10D9N is coming to an end tomorrow. Yup! Lou kung is back, and it's the end of my home alone days. Hopefully it is for the good, and I did had lotsa fun being alone these past 10 days!

Summer in Hong Kong

We had a wonderful trip to Hong Kong! It was not a very long trip being only 5D4N but it was fun-filled with shopping, eating and laughing activities. Despite my earlier worries on the pandemic outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1) everything went perfectly well. In fact, if you do not travel during this period, you will never find out what is happening to the travelling world out there.

I was down with a slight temperature the very firstday in Hong Kong. Perhaps, it must have been the tiring travelling day where we shopped almost immediately after we landed. Thank goodness I have a Panadol, and 3 dosages of Dr Chan's medication; I am all okay when waking up the following morning. I guess that bottle of Evian water, and frequent trips to the washroom in The Landmark helps too.

I was very ecstatic as this is the first time I am staying in such a nice hotel in central Kowloon i.e. TST. It was the Langham Hong Kong Hotel. Indeed a beautiful hotel smacked in the middle of the shopping belt of Tsim Sha Tsui. We didn't even have to walk far to get to the longest and probably the biggest mall in Hong Kong i.e. Harbour City. Everything from the room, pillow, duvet, bathroom, service and even breakfast were commendable. The only complaint I have is probably we had a room with no views at all, facing a concrete wall of another building. But it was alright, since we didn't have much time for view gazing from the hotel room. We even have DFS Galleria right beside the hotel, and one does not even have to leave the hotel building to get into this duty free outlet. I guess this hotel is quite similar with the Royal Plaza on Scotts in Singapore, in which both hotels are linked to DFS Galleria.

First day in Hong Kong was spent shopping mainly in Harbour City, and Canton Road. We had a light meal in Starbucks, and spent 45 minutes waiting for out table at Wu Kong Shanghainese Restaurant in TST. Food wise was good, and the business plus crowd were incredible. The location of the restaurant is basement of some shop houses, but people seem to know this place well, and it looks really popular among the locals, and maybe tourists too.

Second day in Hong Kong began with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. Hui mentioned all the food seems very nice. I think he mentioned it twice, and I was really happy to hear his comment since he hardly gives his opinion on anything especially food. As I was feeling a little under the weather, I didn't actually have much mood to shop, so I just followed on both lou kung, and Hui's shopping frenzies. First we head to Pacific Place in Admiralty, then to Central. This shopping crazy ended with a superb dinner at Yung Kee Restaurant in Wellington Street, Central where we enjoyed our roasted goose, roasted crispy pigeon, and winter melon soup. I will definitely return to this place the next time I am in Hong Kong. After dinner, we had a great, and fun walk in Lan Kwai Fong where they were celebrating Canada Day, as well as the next day being the 1st July Handover Day for Hong Kong. I will always remember the sights of 2 Chinese men, carrying tonnes of shopping bags walking, and hiking the slopes in Lan Kwai Fong plus taking photographs too! Hahaha...

See how funny it was!!!

I slept indeed well on the second night in Hong Kong. It must have been the medication, plus I was really really tired that day, since I was really having a mild fever, and still able to walk the entire day!

Our third day's shopping adventure was to Causeway Bay. It was a National holiday in Hong Kong since it was the 12th year anniversary of the 1st July Handover Day. There were protests on the streets, as well as celebration of this special day. We joined in the fun, and added to the crowd of the onlooking spectators. We had to queue for almost an hour to have our dim sum breakfast at Chung's Cuisine in Food Forum, Times Square since it was a public holiday. The meal was really good too! I will go there again, definitely.

After lunch, we were busy shopping from Times Square to Sogo, to Fashion Walk, to Lee Gardens etc. (almost the entire Causeway Bay). I felt much more energetic today since I was fully recovered. Thank God! Dinner was at Takehachi Japanese Restaurant as recommended by Maruyama-san during my trip to Hong Kong in summer year 2005. It was really a surprise when I actually passed by the building where this restaurant is located. I thought I will never be able to remember, or even come across this place since the information was saved in my old Samsung mobile phone. Nonetheless, the dinner at Takehachi was really good! It seems that our meals adventure was fantastic right from the start.

After dinner, the shopping craze has not ended; we took a cab to North Point to visit the largest Daiso outlet in Hong Kong. It's big, but really old and messy. It was not as good as expected, but I did managed to get stuffs too. However, we encountered a really good experience with HK taxi driver, can you imagine having a taxi driver asking you to pay only HKD 40 when the meter says HKD 43-50! We normally asked the taxi driver to keep the change but this time it is working otherwise! OMG! And the taxi driver was really polite, and friendly too. What an experience, as compared to my HK taxi experience back in year 1996!

Our fourth day was spent only in TST, since we had not really explore the entire Harbour City. But we started our day with dim sum at Serenade Chinese Restaurant in the HK Cultural Center. Food was so-so, but the view in the restaurant overlooking Victoria Harbour, and Hong Kong island was really good. After dim sum, we have our shopping frenzy in Sogo, TST. I think we bought many stuff in this place! It was good, but I was a tad disappointed since they do not carry the household goods here, or even the supermarket. After Sogo, we headed to Harbour City, and spent the rest of the day there.

Our last dinner in Hong Kong is probably the most memorable with 2 famous sentences:

  1. Mou Sin tai hei liong nin (in Cantonese)
  2. Lei Oi??? Lei oi, ngo tah pau pei lei loh!!! (in Cantonese)

Well! I think only the 4 of us would understand these 2 famous phrases. And I shall keep it a Top Secret where only the four of us would share best. Hahah... Well! To find out more, go visit the Spring Deer Restaurant at Mody Road in TST, indeed famous for their Peking Duck but do make sure you are seated on the table nearest to the entrance, on the cashier side. But I wonder it would be that very same waiter!! I wonder... :-)

We left Hong Kong on a Friday, and breakfast was at the hotel, and a little shopping at the HKIA. What a memorable trip, even if we have to wear masks during our flying journey. Thank God for such superb memories, and a wonderful trip.

Dinner on 28th June

The night before our trip to Hong Kong, we had our usual weekend dinner at MPV Restaurant. However, that particular night's dinner was not as good, as compared to our usual galore in this restaurant; in fact it was just disappointing since it was quite an expensive dinner too. Besides the soup, both the fish, and pork dishes tasted terrible. Here's some of the photos of those dishes.

"King Tou" Ribs

Fish Dish (Deep Fry)

Vegetable

Fish Dish (Stir Fry with Ginger & Shallot)

Ingredients from the Soup

If this is our first trip to this particular restaurant, I am pretty sure we shall not make a return.

Keep in touch

I know I am not a very good person in keeping in touch. I am the type of person who keeps memories of my friends inside me. I shall always remember them, even without having to see, and speak to each other every day. But somehow, due to such behaviour, it may seem that I am a person very lousy in keeping in touch. Snobbish perhaps, but this is just me!

2 days ago, I thought of LSF because I happened to know via FB that her ex-BF's wife gave birth to their first baby gal. When I receive the news, I thought about those school days when they used to be a couple, and those ups and downs in which they went through together throughout their relationship. Somehow, I wonder whether I should blame LSY for what is turning LSF into. Anyway, I just thought of her, and gave her a call. She did not answer my call, but she did return my call within a span of 2-3 minutes telling me that she was actually sleeping on that afternoon. She said she is having a mild fever, and for information she claims she is working from home. I am not too sure what type of job she is currently involved though, because before I could even utter another sentence, she promised she will call me back but until now, no sign of her calls.

I know she always call when she has something to ask, but hardly something to tell. In fact, she thought I called to ask for something, but when I told her, I just called to check out what, and how she is doing, she just said "Cheh... I thought what!". Hmm, does that really mean I can only call my friends, when I need their help. But when I really call, and need someone's help, do you think it is so easy to obtain one?? Oh well! I didn't actually mind. Really! But I was a little disappointed by her response. Perhaps, she is letting me know how LWY felt about me. Perhaps, I am just guessing!

Anyhow, I wish LSF is doing well. I think she hadn't been too lucky in her love life, and I really wish she can find someone whom will give her much TLC in the near future.

Take the PC away from ME!!!!!!!!

I am still stuck with Bejeweled Blitz. Oh! Help me! I cannot seem to stay away from this addictive game, despite I keep telling myself, that this is the last game, next one is the last game and so forth. It just doesn't seem to end. Be it, on the phone talking, and chatting; my right hand is still clicking non-stop on those cute little objects. I think I can feel the strain on my right wrist already. And I could feel my eyes being really dry and tired. Even Astro on Demand, does not attract me more than this game. Oh dear! When is this going to end???

Yesterday, I went for a session of rounding trip to Saujana, Glenmarie and Mutiara Damansara with HKT. First, I had to help him with his maids' parcels back to Indonesia at the PO in 1Utama, then we had lunch at this fish place in Damansara Kim in which is nowhere near the one that lou kung, and I used to eat i.e. at Ah Chuan's place. After that, he just drove and went rounding at the above areas. Good weather day for rounding though, since it drizzled, rained and stopped. So it was not sunny, nor hot. And off course, he is my second friend who knows that lou kung, and I owned a piece of land in MD.

Lou kung is still in Sandakan. Tomorrow he will be heading back to KK; and day after would be back in KL. He's been away for one week, and thank goodness this time around I am still feeling okay. It's just that my biological clock is turning upside down, partly (or mainly) due to that addictive game.

I managed to postpone our trip to Sydney to 19th August without any penalty charges since the reason is due to Influenza A (H1N1). Well! If all goes well, we shall go ahead with the trip; otherwise we are still able to postpone the trip again, at no additional charges. We shall just sit back, relax, and monitor the situation. Hence, no advance hotel booking shall be made.

I spoke to KPF in lengthy today. As usual, we had a very interesting telephone conversation. She was telling me on the discount at the baby store next to Wisma BU8, giving the discount percentage equivalent to the mother's age. And how happy both she and Pau were since they could obtain 43% discount. What an interesting gimmick though! But I am glad to share their joy, and happiness. Other than that, our conversation includes Pau's trip to Osaka this coming 2nd August, Zi Han and her funny antics etc.

We are thinking of travelling to Singapore by end of this month, and it should be another mild shopping trip. No dates confirmed as yet, but we should be heading down south before end of this month.

I have been eating junk food whilst lou kung is away, and I think this is really bad. Real bad!!! Gotta stop it! In fact, it's bad from eating to sleeping to compute'ring etc. Everything! No self-discipline at all! Aarrgghh! Never mind ("Me telling myself") All shall end by Thursday!!! :-)

Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook

OMG, I am so hooked and addicted to Bejeweled Blitz since early yesterday morning as recommended to me by VPYS. I cannot believe it; I played until 5.00am yesterday morning! Yes! Until 5a.m. on a Sunday morning. And I am still playing it until just a while ago. This is an addictive game in which I used to play when I am on board, long distance flight especially on MAS airline. It's pretty good actually. But I think, playing the one minute version on Facebook isn't so much fun. It would be better if we could go on to stages, and different challenges; then I think it would be even more addictive. Aarrghh!!! Help! Hahah...

I have been home alone for the past 5 nights, and this is the 6th night. Lou kung is back in BKI, and is currently on a business trip to Sandakan, Lahad Datu, and Tawau. He will be away for 9 nights all together. I guess this is one of his longest trip he had, after a long long while. Well! I do enjoy being alone at home, but I do get lonely at times; nonetheless it's not too bad. Perhaps, it's due to Bejeweled Blitz. Hahah...

I have yet to return my calls to LWY. And I am thinking how, and when. Whilst I felt so sorry, and guilty but I really had my own set of problems, and reasons. Oh well! I hope I can do it by this week. I am so sorry again LWY.

2 nights ago, I had a wonderful dream. I dreamt I have a baby boy. He's so adorable, and easy to take care. Just gotta feed him with milk, and change his diapers. But in reality... is there such easy baby??? I don't think so. Bringing up a child is indeed a tough job, but off course it's also an absolutely wonderful process. I am really longing for my little ones... Somehow. I even thought of some names. Silly me... Bryan, Lucas, Ryan, Nicholas, Zachary, Austin, Issac... Am I crazy???
